Presentation at MojaCom 29 at Nairobi, Kenya
October 2025
Nairobi, Kenya – October 25, 2025
From October 21 to 23, 2025, Kaung, representing ThitsaWorks, participated in MojaCom 29, a leading regional conference on digital financial services and interoperability, held in Nairobi, Kenya.
At the event, Kaung presented a Pricing Model Framework for the Instant and Inclusive Payment System (IIPS), developed based on his recent white paper publication at ThitsaWorks. The framework provides strategic insights into how central banks and payment system operators can design a sustainable pricing model that ensures long-term financial viability while creating a win-win scenario for all ecosystem participants.
During his presentation, Kaung highlighted key considerations in balancing operational sustainability with affordability and inclusion. He also introduced the Revenue Split Model, a proposed mechanism for equitably sharing IIPS revenues among the Payer DFSP, the Hub/Switch Operator, and the Payee DFSP. This model aims to strengthen collaboration across stakeholders and enhance the sustainability of interoperable payment systems.
Kaung’s contribution reflects ThitsaWorks’ ongoing commitment to advancing inclusive digital financial infrastructure and supporting policymakers and ecosystem players with practical frameworks for implementation.
